Lifetime Allowance (LTA) charges incorrectly calculated

System calculation errors (more & more frequent!)

GP’s & Dentists

Practitioner & Dentist pension benefits can be calculated in as many as 6 different ways and you should be paid the most beneficial however this is not always the case and mistakes often occure.

In addition to the issues facing all NHS Staff (listed to the left) GP’s/Dentists also have the following issues:

Incorrect flexibility calculation applied (not the most beneficial)

Out of date dynamising factors applied to earnings - Common mistake!!

FVEC (Flexibilities Value Earnings Credit) Complex calculation to enhance 1995/2008 practitioner benefits not applied correctly.

Expert Advice

Let us check that you have been paid the correct amounts. With over decades of experience in calculating pension benefits we can look over your service & pay history, checking for errors. We can check that the correct and most beneficial calculation has been performed.

How much do we charge?

We work on a ‘no win, no fee’ basis, therefore if we find your benefits have been paid correctly, we don’t request a payment. If however we do find a mistake and as a result your pension benefits increase, we will request 25% of any arrears paid to you. This will include the pension arrears and possibly a lump sum amount. (See FAQ’s for example)

How do I register?

All you have to do is complete the registration form and we will email you our Letter of Authority. Once signed and returned to us we will contact NHS Pensions to request your retirement benefit details, along with service & pay history. We will then carry out our checks and email you to confirm our findings.

If we come across mistakes leading to repayments, we will ask NHS Pensions to revise your pension benefits and send you directly arrears of pension benefits.
